Firm History

The Gee Law Firm, P.C., was founded in January 2001 by its two Directors, Donald J. Gee and Earl J. Gee. Both attorneys previously were two of the three Directors of the now dissolved McEachin & Gee Law Firm from 1990 thru 2000.

The Gee Law Firm started with its main office at 626 South Sycamore Street, Petersburg, Virginia and a temporary office at 13910 Cedar Creek Road, Chesterfield, Virginia. The firm's primary focus at that time was personal injury cases.

In September 2001, The Gee Law Firm closed its temporary office and opened its new headquarters building at 5900 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, Virginia. The two-story brick building is located in an excellent business area with an abundance of free parking. Also in September 2001, Curtis M. Hairston, Jr., joined the law firm as its third Director. At the beginning of 2006, Adonica Baine, who has been with the firm since its inception, was elevated as the fourth Director.

The attorneys at The Gee Law Firm have successfully negotiated numerous large settlements for their clients. The aim of the firm is to continue building on its past success of being part of the team that between 1991 and 1999 won two of the largest personal injury verdicts in the history of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Notwithstanding the size of the case, all clients are important to the attorneys and staff. Experience, hard work and a deep dedication to the community it serves have made The Gee Law Firm one of the more visible and successful law firms in the Richmond and Petersburg metropolitan areas.

The Directors at The Gee Law Firm have continued their long-standing practice of awarding numerous scholarships to graduating high school seniors who live in the firm's geographical area of practice. The members of the law firm realize that the firm's overall success is intrinsically linked to the communities it serves. The Directors and staff are actively involved in a number of religious and secular activities, which benefit the greater community.

At present, the staff consists of the three attorneys, five legal assistants, a nurse paralegal, an information technology specialist, an investigator, a receptionist and an office administrator. The Attorneys consistently welcome volunteer students from the local colleges and high schools to work in their offices to gain experience in law. The law firm's areas of practice at present consist of personal injury, employment discrimination, wills, powers of attorney, deeds and uncontested divorces.
