Adonica Baine's home town is in Victoria, Virginia. She graduated from Central Senior High School in 1986. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in 1990 and received a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1993.

Adonica began her practice as an Assistant State Attorney in Jacksonville, Florida where she prosecuted adult and juvenile defendants charged with misdemeanors and felonies, including drug offenses, robbery and murder. She represented the State of Florida in more than 30 jury trials between 1993 and 1997. During this time, she was asked to prosecute defendants who had been designated habitual offenders due to the severity of their offenses and their extensive criminal records. In this Repeat Offender Court Division (known as the ROCK unit) she sought substantial penalties for those defendants who were repeatedly arrested for drug sales, robbery and burglary.

After accomplishing her goals as a criminal litigator, she decided to use her skills to serve the needs of injured people as a personal injury attorney. In 1997, she became an associate with McEachin & Gee, P.C. practicing personal injury law until January 2001. At that time although she was an associate in the firm, she became the attorney primarily in charge of the Petersburg office for The Gee Law Firm. At the beginning of 2006 Adonica was elevated as the fourth Director. Adonica is an outstanding litigator substantiated by the large number of large verdicts and settlements.

Adonica is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association, Florida State Bar Association, Old Dominion Bar Association, City of Petersburg Bar Association, City of Richmond Bar Association, Virginia Black Women Attorney's Association and Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
